A wonderfully timeworn vintage French clay herb pot with its original fitted lid and small applied side handles. The surface has a warm, naturally aged cream-beige patina with bold handwritten French lettering and markings throughout.

The pot is dated “26/3/68,” or March 26, 1968, making this an especially early example. The front bears the wonderful hand-painted inscription “Aux Anysetiers du Roy,” while additional handwritten markings wrap around the vessel. The underside retains the stenciled marking “ODE 0270.”
